A Few Services We Can Offer You
Detect Wood Destroying Insects
We offer a systematic inspection for wood destroying insects. Through careful probing and evaluating, we will report not only if these insects are present, but also if they were present at some time. Also communicating if conditions are conducive to inviting them into your home.
Radon is a natural occurring, odorless, colorless radioactive gas that’s produced by decaying uranium in the soil. It is present in nearly all soils, though levels will vary. A problem can occur when this gas enters your home and gets trapped by fixed or finished surfaces. Long-term exposure to high levels of radon can cause lung cancer. If you are buying a home, the EPA recommends Radon testing prior to purchase.
Well Water Testing
If you plan to buy a house that has a well, it is highly recommended to test the water for potability, as well as potentially harmful chemicals. A basic profile consists of a chemical – physical analysis and a bacterial (coliform & E. Coli) analysis. We offer other tests as well, including VOC (Volatile Organic Chemicals), Lead, Radon in water, etc.
Identify Potential Hazards
During the course of a home inspection, additional potential hazards may be recognized. This may include the possibility of mold or asbestos. The identification of these items is not required in the State of Connecticut Standards of Practice, however, in such cases, remedies and or suggestions will be explained.
